► Committee Job Roles

All Committee members need to act responsibly and prudently in all matters, and in the best interests of the union. They are all required to keep their committee regularly updated on their work and attend the weekly meetings.
v Organise and Chair weekly meetings for the CCSU team.
v Co-ordinate and support the activities of other CCSU team members.
v Continually encourage all members to participate in union affairs.
v Attend all other relevant meetings and provide verbal report to Corporate Student Executive team twice a term.
v Uphold the CCSU constitution and report all student issues to Student Liaison and senior management.
v Organise and publicise a variety of entertainment and social activities to reflect the interests of all sections of the student body.
v Design an entertainments programme for the year with the direction and guidance from the students, CCSU team, treasurer and Student liaison.
v Establish and maintain contact with relevant clubs, companies, organisations, other campuses and colleges.
v Be responsible for the running of all events including the publicity, sale and distribution of tickets and collection of monies under the direction of student liaison.
v Work with Student Liaison to organise, monitor, update, and run the CCSU team budget.
v Oversee petty cash, billing, purchase orders, banking and invoices where necessary.
v Be responsible for updating CCSU team on income and expenditure at each meeting.
v Organise the gathering of information on student discounts and promote these.
v Ensure that all students’ views and opinions are reflected and represented. throughout all of the student unions work, regardless of; age, gender, religion, disability, sexuality, ethnic origin, or creed.
v Establish and maintain contact with groups and organisations that reflect the diversity of your students and provide this information to the students.
v Where appropriate liaise with the entertainments officer in putting on social events or activities for certain groups eg) Mature students night or LGBT (Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) event.
v Campaign on issues that all students are treated equally by the college, students, and student union.
v Represent and ensure that women’s views and opinions are represented and reflected in all the Student Unions work.
v Organise social, educational and training events for women.
v Establish and maintain contact with, and provide information from, groups and organisations which work on women’s issues.
v Be responsible for taking the minutes of all CCSU team meetings and distributing to Committee and relevant persons.
v Be responsible for drawing up and circulating agendas for every meeting.
v Collect and distribute all SU mail.
v Ensure that the CCSU team file is updated regularly and that all legal documents, reports, minutes, forms and letters are kept in order.
